Christmas Break: University Libraries

All University of Adelaide libraries will soon be taking a short break, closing at 5pm on Friday December 23rd, and re-opening at 8am on Tuesday January 3rd.

If you have any items out on loan which you no longer require, make sure you return them before the break, especially if you are going away on holidays! Loans can be recalled at any time when requested by another borrower, so make it easy for yourself by returning any unwanted loans, and cancelling requests on items which are no longer needed.

Our returns chutes at all campuses are open 24/7. Don’t let overdue or recalled items spoil your break!

For those of you who will be requesting loans and scanned copies from our collection, please note the following Christmas cut-offs (any requests received after these times will not be available until after Jan 3rd)

  • Loan retrieval requests and scanning requests must be in by 10:30am on Dec 22nd
  • If your loan request needs to be brought in from another campus library, have your request in by midday Dec 21st
  • All requests from off-site storage (URRSA) must be in before midday Dec 22nd

We wish you all a safe and happy holiday, and look forward to seeing you all again in the new year!
