New study spaces being created on Level 2 North

You may notice a few differences to the Barr Smith Library when you next visit. Many of the books and journals, particularly those with a call number in the 900s, have been moved or shifted offsite as part of the collection revitalisation project.

Much of the tall shelving on Level 2 North has been removed and new furniture will shortly be arriving to transform the space, including individual work spaces and couches. With its elegant windows and wonderful natural light, we predict that Level 2 North will become one of the most popular quiet study spots in the University.

Books and journals are being moved around as part of the process – if you can’t find the book you need, please talk with an Ask Library team member.
