The University Library is running this lecture as part of the Researcher Training Series. This particular lecture examines the nature of bibliometrics and almetrics measurements, and why they are important for researchers.
It is targeted at staff and students who are publishing, or who plan to publish in the future, and is particularly aimed at research students and Early Career Researchers.
The lecture is being held in Napier Building G03 at 11am on Wednesday 21 February 2018
The lecture will:
- Provide an overview of what bibliometrics and altmetrics mean
- Review research profiles in Scopus
- Explore these metrics: author h-index, article metrics including altmetrics and journal ranking metrics
