Your rights as an author – lecture

Researchers often agree to publisher contracts without being aware of what rights they are giving away. This session will explore what rights researchers have as creators of copyright material and encourage them to keep these.

The session will cover:

  • Copyright basics
  • Interpreting publisher contracts and policies
  • Strategies for keeping rights
  • The principles behind open licencing

It is presented by the University Library as part of its Researcher Training Series.
