Distraction In/Action starting today

Distraction In/Action, our Swot Vac/Exams period program, is commencing today!

At the Barr Smith Library we have just finished transforming the Level 3 space into a winter lounge, complete with “flickering fireplace” and cosy couch setting. Games, puzzles, and colouring-in are available at all of the branches (except Music) for students to de-stress and unwind.

Fresh fruit, lollies and coffee/tea facilities are also available at all branches to varying degrees.

Along with the games, the AUU have kindly lent us some blankets to be used in the Reading Room. These will be put in place shortly and we hope they’ll keep you warm while studying!

Now to the most important thing – therapy dogs will be visiting the Barr Smith Library today (thanks to Therapeutic Dog Services) and Thursday at 11am until 12pm! They will be wandering around Levels 2 and 3 of the library (excepting the Reading Room) so please come and say hi and give them some much-deserved pats!

Happy studying and please let us know any feedback you may have during this time.
