G-TRAC Seminar Series- Consumer Seminar: Understand Anxiety and Breathe it Away

Consumers (65+ years) are invited to a Consumer Seminar that is going to be held at G-TRAC.

The Centre continues to run seminars and workshops on key topics relevant to the health and care of older people.

Overview of anxiety disorder in older population– Dr Cheryl Lee- Psychiatry Registrar, Advanced Trainee- Psychiatry of Old Age

Mindfulness- A Brief Introduction-  Himani Bhatia- Registered Psychologist

Panel Question Session- Dr Neha Mahajan, Dr Cheryl Lee, Himani Bhatia

Dr Cheryl Lee- Dr Cheryl Lee is a senior psychiatry registrar in her final year of specialist training. She is currently working with the Rural & Remote Older Persons Mental Health Service, which provides a visiting psychiatry service to regional areas. She is completing a Certificate of Advanced Training in Psychiatry of Old Age with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She is also a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Adelaide Medical School.
Himani Bhatia- Himani is a registered psychologist with extensive experience in psychological disorders treatment and relationship counselling. Himani is trained with a Masters degree and an Honours degree in psychology and has expertise in anxiety management, depression and panic attacks.

Dr Neha Mahajan- Dr Neha Mahajan is a clinical psychologist and academic lead at G-TRAC.
