New Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines

Australia’s latest Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines have been released and are available for download at http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/content/health-pubhlth-strateg-phys-act-guidelines#chba

These evidence-based guidelines consider the relationship between both physical activity and sedentary behaviour/sitting time on health outcome indicators, including the risk of chronic disease and obesity.  

The guidelines are a timely reminder for those of us spending prolonged periods of time at the computer to break up long periods of sitting as often as possible.
