Vale Hon Dr Bob Such – Passionate Patron of the FFCMH

We are very saddened by the passing of our friend, the Hon Dr Bob Such on October 11 2014.  On behalf of all Patrons and Members of the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health,  we offer our deepest condolences to his wife Lyn and his family, friends and colleagues.

The Hon Dr Bob Such MP with prostate cancer research fellow Dr Lisa Butler at the FFCMH 5 yr anniversary

Bob was an  inaugural Patron of the Centre and he continued actively in this role until his passing.  Bob was very passionate about the Centre, particularly the prostate cancer research program, and  was one of our strongest advocates.  Despite his busy political and community life, Bob always made time for encouraging and supporting our students and young scientists, for Patron meetings and events and was one of the first to offer advice on Centre initiatives and programs and send best wishes for functions he was unable to attend.

Bob was distinguished in everything he did and his brilliant smile conveyed his positivity.  He was a humble man of the people and we were very privileged to have been a group of people which he shared his time with.

He will be greatly missed.
