NHMRC Early Career Fellowship to Dr Sean Martin

Congratulations to Dr Sean Martin, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health on being awarded a prestigious Commonwealth Government Early Career Fellowship from the National Health and Medical Research Council.

The purpose of NHMRC Early Career Fellowship is to to provide opportunities for Australian researchers to undertake research that is both of major importance in its field and of benefit to Australian health.  Sean will develop his research program in the area of urinary and sexual health in men and its relationship to chronic disease.

The Fellowship provides support to undertake advanced training in Australia or overseas.  For the Australian training, Sean will be based in the Population Research and Outcomes Studies Unit at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).

Awards are only offered to a limited number of persons of outstanding ability who wish to make research a significant component of their career.
