Prestigious Travelling Fellowships to Drs Fennell and Martin

forum-2014-0477The Centre congratulates FFCMH Centre members Dr Kate Fennell (UniSA) and Dr Sean Martin (Uni of Adelaide, SAHMRI) who have received recent prestigious awards to pursue their research overseas for the benefit of Australian society.

Kate was awarded the Leslie J. Fleming Churchill Fellowship from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust  to investigate sustainable methods of improving the health and well-being of rural cancer survivors.  The fellowship will fund study visits to the USA and Netherlands.

Sean was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to travel to Boston, USA, to study differences in care received for the treatment of urological conditions such as lower urinary tract symptoms, commonly experienced by men. The Fulbright Program is the flagship foreign exchange scholarship program of the United States of America, aimed at increasing binational collaboration, cultural understanding, and the exchange of ideas.
