2018 FFCMH Scholarship awardees







The Centre congratulates the following four students on being awarded scholarships from the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health.
From left to right:

  • Mr Felix Ritson is a University of Adelaide Medicine (MBBS) graduate who has been awarded a scholarship to support his systematic review training at the Joanna Briggs Institute in order to undertake his project “The relationship between depression and testosterone – A comprehensive systematic review.”  Supervisor: Professor Gary Wittert.
  • Ms Umama Aamir is a University of Adelaide Bachelor of Health Sciences graduate undertaking her honours degree.  Her project is “The association between blood pressure variability and dementia and cognitive impairment: a meta-analysis”   Supervisors: Dr Phillip Tully and Professor Deborah Turnbull.
  • Mr Frank Connolly is a University of Adelaide Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Psychological Sciences student undertaking his honours degree. His project is “The association between ambulatory blood pressure monitoring with anxiety, hostility and depression: A meta-analysis”.  Supervisors: Dr Phillip Tully and Professor Deborah Turnbull.

Congratulations also to

  • Ms Megan Grech who is undertaking her Masters of Clinical Psychology.  For her second year, Megan’s research topic is “Screening for the depressive and anxiety disorders in patients with cardiovascular disease.  Supervisors: Dr Phillip Tully and Professor Deborah Turnbull.

We welcome Felix, Umama, Frank and Megan to the Centre and wish them all the best for their research.
