FFCMH joins as member of the Global Action on Men’s Health

The Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health is pleased to announce that it is now a member of the Global Action on Men’s Health (GAMH).  GAMH is an initivae of the Men’s Health Forum (UK) and we thank the Men’s Health Forum, and in particular Peter Baker (DIrector), for inviting us to come on board. GAMH is backed by eight leading men’s health organisations intrnationally including the Australian Men’s Health Forum

The mission of GAMH is to create a world where all men and boys have the opportunity to achieve the best possible health and well-being wherever they live and whatever their backgrounds. As a member, the Centre encourages all of its researchers to
– promote GAMH wherever possible and represent it in a positive way,
– support GAMH’s position as an organisation that seeks to promote human rights and equality with respect to age, disability, sex, race, religion and belief, sexual orientation and gender assignment, and
–  fully endorse GAMH’s support for improving women’s health and its opposition to any activity on men’s health that might adversely affect women’s health, for example by reallocating funding.

The Centre looks forward to the greater engagement and education that this membership offers and looks forward to productive collaboration with other GAMH members across the globe.  We will keep our members up to date with the work of GAMH.  First up is GAMH’s new report
