Title: Triple Negative Breast Cancer Hijacks a Trophoblast-Like Program of Immune Suppression
Dr. Richer has 25 years of experience in the field of steroid hormone receptor action. Her laboratory tackles clinically relevant issues related to endocrine therapies and women’s cancers. Her NIH funded research program has demonstrated distinct roles for androgen receptors (AR) in the various subtypes of breast cancer and has led to clinical trials targeting AR in breast cancer. Another major focus of the lab is on non-coding RNA that affect epithelial to mesenchymal transition, hormone receptor action, immune recognition and consequent progression of breast and gynecologic cancers.
