Centre’s research leaders and collaborator profiled in 120 year anniversary of Sir Howard Florey

Centre researchers Dr Luke Selth, Head of the prostate cancer research program in the Dame Roma Mitchell Cancer Research Laboratories  and A/Prof Lisa Butler, Head of the prostate cancer research program at SAHMRI, have been profiled as health (research) leaders from the University to honour the 120 year anniversary of Sir Howard Florey.  See Adelaide Now article where Luke and Lisa are featured with our dedicated consumers Dario Priori and Norman Thompson.

The University also welcomed back Alumnus, Prof Chris Sweeney, a Medical Oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and long term research collaborator with Professor Wayne Tilley in the Dame Roma Mitchell Cancer Research Laboratories.  Professor Sweeney’s academic focus is the management of prostate and testicular cancer, and he spoke on advances in the pharmacological treatment of advanced prostate cancer.
