The Centre congratulates Ms Josephine Hinneh on being awarded a Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health PhD Scholarship top-up award. The top-up supplements Josephine’s University of Adelaide Beacon of Enlightenment Scholarship.
Jospehine has a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, in Ghana, as well as a Masters of Science in Immunology from Mie University, in Japan. Her Masters thesis was on “Preclinical efficacy of Periostin short interfering RNA in pulmonary fibrosis”.
For her PhD program, Josephine is investigating androgen regulated drivers of prostate tumorigenesis. She is based in the Prostate Cancer Research group in SAHMRI and her supervisors are Prof Lisa Butler and Dr Margaret Centenera (the University of Adelaide) and Prof Momokazu Gottoh (Nagoya University, Japan).
