Students from classical performance ( flute, clarinet, bassoon, percussion, saxophone, harp, violin and cello) have arrived in London to participate in a three unit study tour led by Associate Professor Elizabeth Koch AM. Tomorrow the course begins at the Royal Academy of Music, London with observation of a rehearsal of works by Stravinsky and Rimsky Korsakov with the Royal Academy orchestra conducted by Oliver Knussen. In the evening the group will hear the Filharmonia Della La Scala in world by Rossini, Liszt and Tchaikovsky at the Barbican.
The study tour is from January 23 to February 6 in London with visits to the four main music tertiary institutions along with other cultural activities.
