Start your semester off on the right track with our top tips for using MyUni. Here are some tips and tricks for making MyUni work for you.
Choose the right tools
You have the ability to customise your course navigation menu by adding a range of tools to suit your needs. You can also remove tools you’re not using. You can find this in Settings under the Navigation tab.
Stay in touch
Communicate with your students throughout the semester by sending them messages using the Inbox in MyUni or Announcements in your course. You can only send messages and announcements to students in published courses between the course start and end dates.
Custom Due Dates
You can set different assessment due dates and availability dates for individual students or class sections by using the Add(+) button when editing an assignment or quiz.
Set the Date
When you set your assignment due dates, MyUni will automatically add them to the course calendar. You can also set up reminders and notifications for other important events and deadlines.
Use Grade Posting Policies in the Gradebook to control grade visibility for students until you have finished marking. Remember to post the grades when you are ready for students to see their results.
See your course from a student perspective by creating your own Student View (“SV”) account. Create your SV account at https://myuni-admin.adelaide.edu.au/.
Publish your course
When you are ready to publish your course, make sure your content is visible to students by pressing the Publish button. Don’t forget to check your course is published before teaching starts so that your students are able to access the content.
You are able to add non-teaching staff and auditing students to your course using LMS Add People and activate extra Echo360 features using Echo Schedule Manager, you’ll find these under Toolkit in the course menu.
