Terence Cheng

Terence is Senior Lecturer of the School of Economics at University of Adelaide. A health economist by training, Terence is currently working on issues related to health care financing and cost, doctors’ labour supply, and health system performance.

He has a keen interest in the application of econometric techniques to address research questions with a strong public policy focus and his research is regularly featured in both Australian and international media.

Prior to joining the School of Economics, Terence was Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, where he remains an Honorary Fellow of the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic & Social Research. He is also an affiliate of the Health, Econometrics and Data Group (HEDG) at the University of York. Terence holds a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University.
