Alex Reilly joined the law school at Adelaide in 2007. Prior to his appointment at Adelaide he was a Lecturer in the School of Law at Murdoch University, Perth from 1997 to 2000 and then a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Law at Macquarie University from 2001 to June 2007 when he joined the School of Law at Adelaide.

His current research interests include:

Migration law and policy
Refugee law
Legal Theory
Public law
Indigenous legal rights
