‘Current human rights issues in South Australia’

Australian Lawyers for Human Rights (ALHR) is a network of Australian lawyers and law students active in practising and promoting awareness of international human rights. The South Australian branch of ALHR is holding its first branch meeting for 2014 on Thursday 6 March in the Adelaide Law School Moot Court. The Honourable Catherine Branson QC, former President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, will speak to the topic ‘Current human rights issues in South Australia’. Following the address, the South Australian Co-Convenors of ALHR will provide a brief overview of ALHR and its work and will lead a discussion on human rights and how the SA branch can get involved in the work of the national organisation.
