National Institutes of Health (NIH): Systems Developmental Biology for Understanding Embryonic Development and the Ontogeny of Structural Birth Defects (R01)

This opportunity uses the R01 Research Project Grant funding mechanism.

The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to promote systems developmental biology. In the context of this FOA, systems developmental biology is defined as research focused on understanding how biological components work together to produce the complex biological phenomena encompassing embryonic development.

Funding & Duration

Application budgets are not limited but need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed project. Maximum award period is five years.

Eligibility

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply

Submission Requirements & Due Dates

  • 15 Dec 2014  – Letter of Intent (LOI) via Grants.Gov submission portal.
  • Copy of LOI forwarded to the Research Branch ASAP.
  • 2 Jan 2015  – full applications submitted to the Research Branch for internal review.
