The aim of the UICC ICRETT fellowships is to facilitate rapid international transfer of cancer research and clinical technology, exchange knowledge and enhance skills in basic, clinical, behavioural and epidemiological areas of cancer research cancer control and prevention and to acquire appropriate clinical management, diagnostic and therapeutic expertise for effective application and use in the home organisation upon return.
Funding & Duration
The average value of the award is US $3,400 (as monetary contribution towards the least expensive international travel and living costs). for up to 1 month in duration.
Eligibility
- Appropriately qualified investigators, pathologists, epidemiologists, laboratory technicians, tobacco control activists and cancer registrars in the early stages of their careers who hold at least a MSc or MA
- Appropriately qualified clinicians who are established in oncology practice and hold as a minimum an MD degree
