Australasian Systematic Botany Society (ASBS): Hansjorg Eichler Scientific Research Fund 2015

The Australasian Systematic Botany Society (ASBS) provides funding for research grants pertaining to Australian systematic botany.

The project must contribute to Australian systematic botany (including cryptogams); and must be carried out within Australia.

Funding & Duration

The maximum grant awarded will be $2000.


Applications are welcomed from all current financial members of the Australasian Systematic Botany Society. The applicant must be attached to an Australian research institute (in the very broadest sense, including herbaria, universities, government agencies) They need not be on staff but the institution must support their application. Students, recent graduates and newly-established botanists will be given preference.

Submission Requirements & Internal Due Date

Applications must be submitted for internal review by 6 March 2015.

Submitted applications must be accompanied by a signed and completed copy of the University’s Grant Application Cover Sheet.

Applications may be emailed to the Research Branch unless otherwise specified.
