Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG): Research Grants 2015

The ASEG Research Foundation provides research grants at the BSc(Honours), MSc, and PhD level (or equivalent) to promote research in Applied Geophysics.

Funding & Duration

Awards are made for BSc (Hons) up to a maximum of $5,000 for one year. Awards are made for MSc up to a maximum of $5,000 per annum for two years. Awards are made for PhD up to a maximum of $10,000 per annum for three years.

Eligibility

Funds will be granted in support of research projects at B.Sc.(Hons.), M.Sc. and Ph.D. level carried out in an Australian Institution. Grants will be made to the Tertiary body responsible for the project – usually a University.  The relevant ASEG Research Foundation sub-Committee will select projects in applied geophysics with an emphasis on practical or applied research.

Submission Requirements & Internal Due Date

Applications must be submitted for internal review by 20 February 2015.

Submitted applications must be accompanied by a signed and completed copy of the University’s Grant Application Cover Sheet.

Applications may be emailed to the Research Branch unless otherwise specified.
