National Institutes of Health (NIH): Methodologies to Enhance Understanding of HIV Associated Social Determinants (R21) 2015

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications that propose to understand social determinants of health as they relate to HIV infection and disease outcomes.

Funding & Duration

Application budgets are limited to $275,000 (approx AUD $355,600) direct costs over 2 years with no more than $200,000 (approx AUD $258,600) direct costs in any one year. The maximum project period is 2 years.


Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.

Submission Requirements & Due Dates

  • 19 July 2015 – Letter of Intent (LOI) via Grants.Gov submission portal.
  • Copy of LOI forwarded to the Research Branch ASAP.
  • 5 August 2015 – full applications submitted to the Research Branch for internal review.
