The International Myeloma Foundation funds several research grants including the Brian D. Novis Research Award. These grants are provided through donations from private individuals, and are presented annually by the International Myeloma Foundation.
These awards go to researchers doing work in the field of multiple myeloma and related disorders including smoldering myeloma, MGUS (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) as well as immunoglobulin derived amyloidosis.
Funding & Duration
This year’s awards will be in the amount of US $50,000 (approx. AUD $64,000), for 1 year. Institutional overhead must not exceed 10% of the grant award.
Eligibility
Applicants must have:
- completed postdoctoral studies or clinical fellowships no later than August 1 of the application year;
- the ability to devote a minimum of 50% of his or her time to the research project during the Award year;
- and the ability to provide a completed application with evidence of a meritorious research project.
Submission Requirements
Applications must be submitted to the Research Branch for internal review by 27 July 2015.
Submitted applications must be accompanied by a signed and completed copy of the University’s Grant Application Cover Sheet. Submissions may be emailed to the Research Branch unless otherwise specified.
