The Research Foundation of Cerebral Palsy Alliance has a strong on-going commitment to funding high quality research in cerebral palsy.
The Alliance’s current funding priorities are as follows:
- Aetiology, causal pathways
- Prevention
- Early identification, early intervention
- Cure
Career Development Grants are unrestricted. Funding may be used by the award recipient for any of the activities as listed below to assist in the recipient’s career pursuits including:
- Fellowships or PhD scholarships
- travel associated with conducting research or presenting research findings
- presenting or attending a relevant research conference
- employment of research personnel to support the recipient’s research project
- the purchase of research materials and consumables related to the recipient’s research project.
Funding & Duration
The Research Foundation awards grants of between $10,000 and $250,000 each. “Big picture”, collaborative studies (along the lines of NHMRC applications) are also encouraged.
Grants are normally made for projects which can be completed within 12-48 months.
Eligibility
The Alliance will accept applications from individuals, groups of researchers, committees or project-focused foundations.
Chief Investigators must be employed through an Institution e.g. Hospital, University, or Institute.
Submission Requirements & Internal Due Date
Applications must be submitted for internal review by 24 August 2015.
Submitted applications must be accompanied by a signed and completed copy of the University’s Grant Application Cover Sheet.
