Melanoma Research Alliance: Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer – MRA Young Investigator Award 2015

The Melanoma Research Alliance offers the Young Investigator Award to conduct research in the area of immunotherapy.

Young Investigator Awards aim to attract early career scientists with novel ideas into the field of melanoma, thereby recruiting and supporting the next generation of melanoma researcher leaders.

Funding & Duration

Up to US $75,000 (approx AUD $104,000) per year for 3 years will be provided to accomplish innovative, translational research projects in melanoma immunotherapy.

Eligibility

Applicants must be within 4 years of their first independent, full time academic faculty appointment at the time of application at the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent position). Fellows or others who are in training are not eligible to apply. Those who are in research support positions are not eligible to apply.

Submission Requirements & Due Dates

  • 13 November 2015 – Applicants must email lbl@curemelanoma.org to confirm eligibility
  • 16 November 2015 – Letter of Intent (LOI) via proposalCENTRAL
  • Copy of LOI forwarded to the Research Branch ASAP.
  • TBA – full applications submitted to the Research Branch for internal review.
