CASS Foundation: Travel Awards 2016 (Round 2)

The purpose of the Travel Awards is to enable Early Career Researchers (ECR) to attend an international conference of significance to their research. At this conference Applicants are expected to be presenting their current research as a platform presentation, a panelist, an invited speaker, or in a poster presentation.

The research material to be presented at the conference should not be based primarily on the Applicant’s PhD studies.

Funding & Duration

The maximum amount of a Travel Award is $4,500.

For this round of Travel Awards, the conference commencement date published on the official conference website must fall within the specified timeframe of 1 November 2016 to 31 May 2017.

Eligibility

Applicants must be either Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents.

Applicants must also be an Early Career Researcher: a researcher whose PhD conferral (the date of the PhD award certificate) falls within a five-year window between 26 August 2009 and 26 August 2014.

An extension of this period may be considered if absence from research work due to career disruption can be demonstrated.
