Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation aims to promote research and education for the diagnosis, treatment and cure of mitochondrial disorders, and to provide support to affected individuals and families.
The objective of the Translational Research Grants scheme is to rapidly transform research discoveries into clinical practice.
Funding & Duration
The Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (AMDF) will provide charitable grants of $150,000 per year for two years, to fund exceptional researchers who have the capability to turn around ground-breaking research and start to make inroads into treatments.
Eligibility
Applicants must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have Permanent Resident Status, and not be under bond to any foreign government.
Submission Requirements
- Applications for AMDF Incubator Grants are welcomed throughout the year, until the upper limit of the funding allocation for the year is reached.
- Submit an Application to the Research Branch for Review
