The Ian Wilson Liberal Foundation provides funding for the undertaking of research which will lead to sound analysis and conclusions for reform capable of practical application and advocacy in Australia
In 2016 a grant of $5,000 is available to undertake the following study:
A statistical analysis of the outcome of South Australian elections. The statistics produced will examine the 2PP and the outcomes of elections in SA in comparison with the 2PP and election outcomes in other Australian states. The study will examine whether the ‘fairness clause’ in South Australia has led to election outcomes where the Party that receives the majority of the vote forms government more or less often than other jurisdictions.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- hold a PhD;
- be academic teaching and/or research only staff
- be employed permanently or on a fixed-term contract over a two semester period in a given calendar year.
Staff who take LSL and/or unpaid leave for a semester are not eligible.
