Dedicated funding is available to assist early-career Australian and New Zealand geoscience researchers (ECRs) to present their work at the 35th International Geological Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, 27 August – 4 September 2016.
Funding & Duration
Eight grants will be awarded. The anticipated value of each grant will be $3,000 and is intended to contribute to the cost of the proposed travel (including travel expenses, conference registration, and related meals and accommodation).
The scheme is open to practising geoscientists resident in Australia or New Zealand who hold a degree (including PhD, Masters and Honours students) in geoscience (or equivalent) and who have been chosen to present at the 35th International Geological Congress.
Those eligible to receive grants under the scheme should generally be PhD, Masters or Honours students or within 10 years of receiving a PhD. Career interruptions, for example parental leave, will be taken into account if clearly specified (with times and dates).The funding request will be considered with respect to amount requested and other funding sourced.
