This opportunity uses the R01 Research Project Grant funding mechanism.
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support research that will contribute to the overall understanding of Lyme disease and co-infections transmitted by Ixodes ticks.
This research opportunity encourages studies that address diverse scientific areas such as:
- pathogenesis
- host response
- disease transmission
- vector biology and natural history
- vaccines
- diagnostics
- therapeutics

Application budgets are not limited but need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed project.
The maximum project period is 5 years.

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
