Water Environment Re-Use Foundation (WE&RF): Unsolicited Research Program 2016

The Unsolicited Research Program is seeking pre-proposals for projects that will advance science and technologies to address water quality issues as they impact water resources, the atmosphere, the land, and quality of life.

Funding & Duration

The Foundation expects to allocate approximately US $500,000 (approx. AUD $676,000) in funding towards the 2016 Unsolicited Research Program.

The maximum duration for each selected project is two years,


All relevant wastewater, stormwater, and water quality research areas are eligible.

Research should be of benefit to the Foundation’s international facility subscribers.

Submission Requirements & Due Dates

  • 20 July 2016 – Pre-Proposals submitted directly to the Sponsor
  • Copy of Pre-Proposals forwarded to the Research Branch ASAP.
  • TBC – full applications (by invitation only) submitted to the Research Branch for internal review.
