Sir Mark Mitchell Foundation: Research Project Grants 2016

The object of the Foundation is to assist in the promotion of research in natural history, centred in the state of South Australia.

Priorities are zoology and all of its branches, earth sciences, anthropology, and archaeology.

Funding & Duration

Grants of up to 10,000 will be awarded. Awards will be made for one year in the first instance, but applications for a renewal in the second year will be considered.

With a research project approved by the trustees, funding may be used for consumables, purchase of equipment, field-expenses, travel fares related to the project, living away from home allowance etc.

Funding is not supplied for conference attendance or travel, or to supplement the existing salary of a research worker.

Eligibility

The Foundation will not support projects primarily related to medical or agricultural science.

There is no official application template. Applicants who would like to see past application templates for these grants can contact rbsciences@adelaide.edu.au, otherwise applications can be in any format.
