The Federation’s Clinical Research Grant Program provides support for international clinical investigation relating to inherited bleeding disorders. The aim is to help create better evidence for the clinical management of hemophilia A and B, von Willebrand disease, rare factor deficiencies, and inherited platelet disorders.
Funding & Duration
Maximum grant amount is CAD $50,000 (approx AUD $49,700) per year, per grant. Funding is awarded for up to two years.
Eligibility
The program is open to applicants, from all countries, who are affiliated with a recognised medical, scientific, or academic institution, haemophilia or inherited bleeding disorder treatment centre, or WFH national member organisation (NMO) or its affiliated chapters.
PhD students are not eligible; the principle investigator must hold a faculty position at a recognised medical, scientific, or academic institution.
Submission Requirements & Due Dates
- 1 February 2017 – Letter of Intent (LOI) submitted directly to Sponsor
- 8 May 2017 – Full applications submitted for internal review
- Submit an Application to the Research Branch for Review
