ARC Final Reports – outstanding reports & applicant eligibility

 

With recent ARC grant schemes having closed for applications (Future Fellowships, Australian Laureate Fellowships) and others closing soon (Industrial Transformation Research Hubs and Centres, Linkage Projects under the 2016 Funding Rules) or next year (Discovery Projects, DECRA, LIEF, Discovery Indigenous, Linkage Projects under the 2017 Funding Rules), the ARC wishes to remind applicants that they may be ruled ineligible if they have outstanding final reports for existing projects.

To check Final Report due dates, login to the ARC Research Management System (RMS) and click ‘Final Reports’ under the ‘Project Management’ section.

Unfortunately, RMS does not notify the Research Branch when Final Reports have been ‘Submitted to Research Office’. Therefore, once your Final Report has been ‘Submitted to Research Office’, you must send an email notifying the Research Branch ARC team that your Report is ready for checking prior to submission to the ARC.

As part of the new final report requirement from the ARC we are required to “…certify that the Project has complied with the relevant schemes Funding Rules and Funding Agreements and that all information provided within the Final Report is accurate and up to date.” Please advise that this is the case when you send the email to the RB ARC team.
