The Australasian Sarcoma Study Group offers the following grants, named after their donors.
Johanna Sewell Sarcoma Research Grant
Grant Type: Seed funding.
Priorities: Research into bone cancer (osteosarcoma); entry into the field of high quality research groups not already working on sarcomas; projects which leverage existing ASSG investment into sarcoma research (including but not limited to studies like the International Sarcoma Kindred Study and clinical and translational research projects that the ASSG supports); and clinically focused research.
Funding & Duration: $50,000 for 12 months
Xavier Krikori Sarcoma Research Grant
Grant Type: Direct research costs.
Priorities: Translational studies and projects that can leverage these result into successful large grant applications.
Funding & Duration: $26,000 for 12 months.
Hannah’s Chance Sarcoma Research Grant
Grant Type: Direct research costs.
Priorities: Clinical or translational research into liposarcoma as the first priority but will consider projects in sarcoma generally.
Funding & Duration: $30,000 for 12 months.
Submission Requirements & Due Date
- Applications must be submitted for internal review by 13 January 2017
- Submit an Application to the Research Branch for Review
