The Gilbert Family Foundation (GFF) is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for high-impact translational research in gene-targeting strategies that address the underlying genetic abnormalities in neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and have the potential to eradicate the disease.
Proposals will be accepted for Team Science Awards defined as collaborative research amongst investigators with experience in gene-targeting strategies in or outside the field of NF1.
Funding & Duration
GFF expects to provide at least US $7M (approx. AUD $8.8M) over three years among multidisciplinary teams of two or more established Principal Investigators, providing at least US $1.2M (approx. AUD $1.5M) per team.
Eligibility
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
Principal Investigators must hold a full-time faculty or industry appointment at the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent) or above at an academic, non-profit research institution, or industry organisation whose primary mission is medical research.
