Leona M. & Harry B. Helmsley Trust: Future Technologies Initiative – Request for Proposals

Helmsley’s Type 1 Diabetes Program has launched a Request for Proposals – the Future Technologies Initiative (FTI). The goal of the FTI is to incubate proof-of-concept, early-stage research and development in the following two tracks:

  • Novel insulin and glucagon delivery technologies
  • Novel sensing technologies

Helmsley is seeking projects that are high-risk, high-impact, and have long-term vision to significantly improve glucose control while reducing the burden of living with type 1 diabetes. We encourage bold, out-of-the-box thinking, novel approaches, and partnerships that incorporate technologies and expertise outside of the diabetes field.

Up to US $750,000 (approx. AUD $942,000) for a maximum term of two years.

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
