The Danish Council for Independent Research (DFF) offers Starting Grants to younger researchers who have achieved outstanding research results and gives them an opportunity to develop and strengthen their research ideas in the following fields:
- Humanities
- Natural Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Medical Sciences
- Technology & Production Sciences
The instrument also aims at promoting the mobility internationally as well as nationally among research environments, and thereby to strengthen the researchers’ networks and careers.
Funding & Duration
Up to DKK 4,100,000 (approx. AUD $844,200) for up to four years.
Eligibility
Non-domestic entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
Sapere Aude – DFF Starting Grant is aimed at younger, very talented researchers who at the time of the application deadline and within the last eight years have obtained their PhD or achieved equivalent qualifications, and who have demonstrated an ability to carry out original research at a high international level.
