GlaxoSmithKline: 2018 Discovery Fast Track Australian Challenge

The Discover Fast Track Challenge aims to support novel drug research by funding collaborative partnerships between researchers based in research institutions, colleges, or universities, with GlaxoKlineSmith (GSK) scientists.

Funding & Duration

An expert panel of judges will evaluate each submission, selecting a small number of winners. If a researcher’s concept is chosen, a team of GSK scientists will collaborate with the researcher to screen targets. In addition, up to AUD $75,000 will be provided to enable investigators to conduct supportive research for the collaboration.

GSK will share key results from the screen with the goal, if successful, of providing compounds to allow further exploration of the target towards a potential new medicine.

In addition, it may be possible to pursue promising results in collaboration with GSK’s Discovery Partnerships with Academia (DPAc) team under a further collaboration.

Principal Investigators who are affiliated with any research institute, college or university in Australia are eligible. In case of joint applications, co-investigators who helped to develop the concept outlined in the Challenge proposal, must agree to the submission in accordance with the challenge rules.

Those investigators whose application does not conflict with any of the Challenge Terms and Conditions.
