US NIH – National Institute of Drug Abuse: Genetic analysis of non-human animal models to understand the genomic architecture of substance use disorders and addictive behaviors (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This opportunity uses the U01 Research Project – Cooperative Agreements funding mechanism.

The goals of this initiative are to discover allelic variants, genomic alterations, and functional changes associated with addictive behaviours in non-human animals through systems to studies that employ genetic and genomics strategies.

Applications are also encouraged that take genetic and/or genomics approaches to integrate data, delineate gene networks, and uncover the function of known or newly discovered genetic or epigenetic variants.

Funding & Duration

Application budgets are not limited but need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed project.

The maximum project period is 5 years.

Eligibility

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
