Water Environment & Reuse Foundation: Sampling and Monitoring Strategies for Opportunistic Pathogens in Drinking Water Distribution Systems

The Water Environment & Reuse Foundation invites applications for its sampling and monitoring strategies for opportunistic pathogens in drinking water distribution systems funding opportunity. This supports the establishment of an optimised sampling protocol providing a practical guideline for drinking water utilities to manage the detection of opportunistic pathogens in distribution systems. Project proposals must select at least two pathogens.


The grant is worth between USD $300,000 and USD $320,000 (Approx. AUD $405,000 – $432,000). A minimum of 25 per cent of total project costs must be provided by the applicant.


Applicants may be any qualified organisation based anywhere in the world. Collaborations are encouraged but not required.
