US Department of Defense: Reconstructive Transplant Research Program (RTRP) – Investigator-Initiated and Qualitative Research Awards FY2018

The following opportunities support studies that have the potential to make an important contribution to the reconstructive transplant research field, patient-care, and/or quality of life.

Investigator-Initiated Research Award

Applications must address at least one of the FY18 RTRP Focus Areas:

  • Reduce the risks of VCA-associated immunotherapy
  • Revolutionise ex vivo VCA tissue preservation strategies to extend the timeline between procurement and transplantation
  • Identify near- and long-term functional, quality-of-life, and psychosocial, outcomes in VCA, and their influencing factors
Qualitative Research Award

Applications must address the following FY18 RTRP Focus Area:

  • Identify near- and long-term functional, quality-of-life, and psychosocial outcomes in VCA, and their influencing factors.

Funding & Duration

Individual PIs:

  • Maximum funding of $1M (approx. AUD $1.35M) for total costs.
  • Maximum period of performance is 3 years.

Multiple PI Option:

  • Maximum funding of $1.5M (approx. AUD $2.026M) for total costs.
  • Maximum period of performance is 3 years.

Eligibility

Independent investigators at all academic levels (or equivalent) are eligible to apply.
