World Bank Group: Development Marketplace Award for Innovation in the Prevention and Response of Gender-Based Violence

The World Bank Group, in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Research Initiative, invites applications for their development marketplace award for innovation in the prevention and response of gender-based violence. These recognise innovative research and interventions or related activities that will contribute to the prevention of, and response to, gender-based violence in low and middle-income countries.

The aim is to provide funding for short projects with measurable outcomes, including intervention pilots, IT projects, self-contained research projects, costing studies, secondary analysis of existing data and impact assessments. Additionally, seed grants are available for private companies to evaluate gender-based violence policies and programmes and deliver publicly available outputs.

Funding & Duration

Grants are worth up to USD $100,000 (approx. AUD $135,000) for a period of two years. Seed grants are worth up to USD $40,000 (approx. AUD $54,000) and require the recipient to match funding.

Eligibility

Institutions and companies may apply for funding. Individuals are not eligible.
