The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, 2018 (the 2018 Code) was developed jointly by the National Health and Medical Research Council, Australian Research Council, and Universities Australia, and has broad relevance to all research disciplines.
The 2018 Code is a principles-based Code, with similar intent to the 2007 Code, and informs all relevant University of Adelaide policies, including the University’s Responsible Conduct of Research Policy.
Knowledge of, and compliance with, the current 2007 Code is still expected until the new 2018 Code is formally adopted through University policies and procedures, which must be implemented no later than 1 July 2019.
Further communication and training leading up to the formal adoption of the 2018 Code will be provided over the coming year.
