NSW Health: Early Phase Clinical Trials Framework – Call for Expressions of Interest

The New South Wales Ministry of Health invites applications for its early-phase clinical trials framework.

This supports early-phase clinical trials across NSW to improve health outcomes for residents. Funding is available across two schemes:

  • early-phase clinical trials Human Research Ethics Committee scheme;
  • quality recognition scheme for early-phase clinical trial sites in NSW.

Funding & Duration

Up to five early-phase clinical trials will be appointed. Funding up to $50,000 is available for the first year to support change management. Funding up to $50,000 is available to support committee plans to review early-phase clinical trials. Additional support for capability development is also available.


Private and public human resource ethics committees or organisations providing ethics review services in Australia may apply. They must be certified under the National Health and Research Council national certification scheme.
