Beyond Blue: Partnership Grants – Call for Expressions of Interest (Priority Driven Research)

beyondblue is seeking Expressions of Interest (EoIs) from researchers addressing depression, anxiety and/or suicide prevention who would like to involve beyondblue as a partner organisation on an NHMRC or ARC application.

Funding & Duration

If your research proposal fits with beyondblue’s mission and the priorities identified for this partnership, and your application to the NHMRC or ARC is successful, beyondblue will provide up to $50,000 per annum (excl. GST) for a three years (total $150,000 excl. GST) and in kind support. beyondblue intends to be a partner in up to five applications in total (NHMRC & ARC combined).

Application Criteria

Applications must address at least one of the beyondblue research priority areas listed below and be applicable to beyondblue’s work in at least one of the following settings:

  • early childhood education services, primary and secondary schools;
  • workplace mental health;
  • digital and online platforms.


EoIs must be submitted from researchers at an eligible administering institution. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that beyondblue is an eligible partner and that the requested beyondblue involvement is in accordance with the rules of the partnership scheme to which the application is to be made. Applicants are advised to review the Funding Rules for the NHMRC and ARC grant they intend to apply for before submitting their EoI to beyondblue.

Researchers can only be a Lead Chief Investigator (i.e. CIA) on one EOI in this Round and a co-investigator on up to two other applications.
