The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council invites applications for its other countries partnering awards. These support the development of long-term collaborations with overseas scientists in countries not currently offered through the council’s country-specific partnering award schemes.
BBSRC particularly welcomes applications that seek to partner with researchers in Australia, Argentina, Canada and New Zealand.
Funding & Duration
Awards are typically worth up to £30,000 (approx. AUD $54,000) over four years for partnerships with one or more life science laboratories in an eligible country.
Eligibility
Funds can only be used for travel, subsistence and other activities, such as workshops or exchanges. They are not to fund salary costs, consumables, items of equipment or other research costs, nor to link ongoing single collaborative projects
Current BBSRC research grant holders and researchers employed at the National Institutes of Bioscience, who are in receipt of BBSRC funding, may apply. Consortia of UK academics may also apply, with one person acting as the lead
